When I was a little girl my mother made rosaries to help raise money for the church. They were made of pretty little crystal beads, and each one was put together by twisting wire with pliers.

 

I was too little to try it, but I remember looking at all the supplies and thinking how fun it would be to put all those beads together with those lovely tools. 

 

Later on, when I wasn't too little anymore - all grown up and selling my handwoven clothes, I started to add beads to them, and that led to jewelry making. 

 

Earrings were the most fun because I could try a new idea quickly then sell them at the next craft show. 

 

I don't do shows anymore, and I still have a stash of earrings.
